Bespoke kitchen design for a period property in Dublin
This Dublin project involved the complete redesign of a kitchen within a period property, creating a space that respected the character and proportions of the original home while introducing a distinctly contemporary approach to family living.
The design balances classical detailing with modern functionality, using bespoke cabinetry, carefully considered proportions and contrasting materials to create a kitchen that feels naturally connected to the architecture of the property. Particular attention was given to the kitchen island, furniture layout, lighting and appliance integration, ensuring that the room works as effectively for everyday life as it does for entertaining.
Rather than simply recreating a traditional period kitchen, the objective was to develop something more individual — retaining a sense of permanence and architectural character while introducing the functionality expected from a contemporary luxury kitchen.
The finished space demonstrates how thoughtful kitchen design can transform a period property without compromising its original character, creating a highly personal interior designed around both the home and the people who live in it.
Contemporary Kitchen for a Newry Family Home
Bespoke kitchen design for a contemporary home in Newry, County Down
This project formed part of a contemporary family home in Newry, County Down, where the kitchen needed to sit comfortably within the wider architecture and interior design of the property. The brief was to create a sophisticated yet practical kitchen that would become a natural focal point for everyday family life.
The design combines contemporary functionality with more classical influences, using bespoke cabinetry, carefully balanced proportions and a restrained material palette to give the kitchen a sense of permanence. The large central island establishes the main working and social area of the room, while the surrounding cabinetry and integrated appliances were planned to create a practical and uncluttered layout.
Lighting, material selection and architectural detailing were considered as part of the overall composition rather than as individual elements. This allowed the kitchen to feel connected to the adjoining spaces while still having its own distinct identity.
The finished kitchen demonstrates our approach to bespoke kitchen design: creating a highly individual space around the architecture of the property, the requirements of the homeowner and the way the kitchen will actually be used.

In this exclusive new build, the client sought an unusual and striking kitchen design, granting us the creative freedom to craft something truly unique for their kitchen remodel. The only specific request was to include a large range cooker from Lacanche, leaving the colour and finish entirely in our hands. Embracing this liberty, we developed a liberated design that blended bold aesthetics with functional excellence. The result was a stunning, unique kitchen that not only met the client's expectations but also became a centerpiece of the home, celebrated for its distinctive style and sophisticated charm.
